Tancredi
by Gioacchino Rossini
Starring Ewa Podleś - the definitive Tancredi of our time - in her Boston stage debut, Opera Boston's new production marks the first Boston performances in over a century of Rossini's epic drama. Tancredi, an exiled and dispossessed warrior, and his beloved Amenaide, confront intrigue, suspicion, and devotion in a city beset by civil strife and facing an invading army.
The thrilling bel canto score will be brought to life by the title role's foremost contemporary interpreter and an acclaimed ensemble cast of Opera Boston favorites!
